Your Kitten's First Visits

Generally when you come to see us for your kitten's first visit we will discuss many things with you.  We will talk about behavior, eating patterns, play patterns, nail trimming, litter box training and flea prevention, just to name a few of our topics.  We like to make your first visit here longer so that we can get to know you and your new kitten.  We want to be sure to give them the best start we can!!  Many people have questions regarding a kitten's vaccine schedule.  Here is an overview of the vaccines and services  your kitten will receive over their first four months.  Remember these are just guidelines, our doctors may cater a plan specifically for your pet depending on their overall health.  Usually, your kitten will require at least 3 visits to complete their kitten series of vaccines.

Your kitten's first visit may include: a distemper vaccination, a feline aids/leukemia test, a fecal sample to check for intestinal parasites, a deworming medication and we will show you how to trim their nails.

Your kitten's second visit may include: a distemper vaccination and a feline leukemia vaccination.

Your kitten's third visit may include:  a distemper vaccination, a feline leukemia vaccination and a rabies vaccination.
